Description
Vienna is a city of architectural extravagance. Wide, sprawling avenues are flanked by an incredible variety of ornate and elegant buildings in every style imaginable. Palaces and Royal Residences are plentiful, amongst them, the beautifully baroque Schloss Belvedere. The Palace was built in the early 18th Century and consists of a higher and lower section separated by lavish landscaped gardens also in the Baroque style. Giant Rococo Sphinxes are placed throughout the higher level of the garden. The top of the hill, near the Upper Belvedere, is the perfect spot to watch the sun disappear behind the city and leave behind a glowing panorama of domed churches and tall spires twinkling as they catch the last rays of the fading day. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this classic Viennese scene.
