Description
With a history dating back to the 10th Century, the oldest and most picturesque part of the Polish city of Wroclaw is Ostrow Tumski (or Cathedral Island). The delightful Tumski Bridge (or Lovers Bridge, appropriately covered in Lovelocks), will take you across the Oder River to this historically significant area. With so many beautiful churches and buildings to savor, it's difficult to chose a favorite, but the gothic style Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John The Baptist, the tall towers of which can be seen pictured here on the left, has to be among them. An icon of the city, its spires are visible for miles around and provide a trusty landmark if you happen to get lost in the winding streets and alleys of Wroclaw. I blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this pretty Polish scene.
