Description
The picturesque Alpine town of Annecy, in the Haute-Savoie area of Southeastern France, has a history dating all the way back to Roman times. In an idyllic location, nestled between mountains and lake, this fairytale area is filled with old town charm. A stroll along the canal is the ideal way to spend an afternoon, stopping to admire the chocolate box, pastel coloured facades, topped with red tile roofs, the towering French Alps as a perfect backdrop. Pictured here is Palais de L'Ile, a notable monument with a history dating back to the 12th century. Previously used as a courthouse, prison and adminitstrative office, it is now open as a museum. I blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment this vintage old world French scene.

Carol, I could spend all day in your "Gallery" and still want more. This monument as a museum would be fun to have an art gallery there too. Fairyland photos and real life dreams, are always in your wonderful photography!!! :D L/F
