Description
A fairly recent addition to the French city of Bordeaux, the Cite du Vin is a wine lover's paradise. This huge, world class interactive museum set within a striking a piece of modern architecture in the Bacalan district, has something for every wine taster, from the novice to the highly knowledgeable connoisseur. The building itself is a feast for the eyes, sweeping curves throughout bring to mind the smooth surface of a wine bottle, the surrounding river creating the feeling of a waiting bottle chilling in an ice bucket. I blended textures and pastel tones with my original photograph to create a more abstract style image and emphasise the lines and contours of this beautiful architectural giant.
