Description
A stone cherub sits alone in quiet contemplation in one of the fabulous cloisters of the historic, late 16th Century St Sebastian's Cemetery, Salzburg. This wonderful old cemetery situated behind St Sebastian's church on Linzer Gasse is well known as the final resting place of Mozart’s father, Leopold, Wolfgang’s wife, Constanze and also the tomb of the famous physician Theophratus Bombastus von Hohenheim, also called "Paracelsus". I hand blended abstract textures with my original photograph to give the image a more contemporary twist.
