Description
The late 15th Century Porte Cailhau (city gate) was once a part of the ancient city walls of Bordeaux, France and served previously as both an arch of victory and a defensive gate. This striking piece of medieval architecture is one of the few remnants of historic Bordeaux built prior to the 18th century and from the top, gives a wonderful view over Ponte de Pierre, the oldest and most elegant bridge in the city. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white, to compliment the old world feel of this classic Bordeaux city scene.
