Description
Mariacka, in the Polish city of Gdansk on the Baltic Coast, has been said to be one of the most beautiful streets in the world. This tiny, narrow cobblestone lane is romantic at any time of the day, but after nightfall, when the quaint little shops close and the visitors leave, it becomes quite magical. The pale orange light from the illuminated and imposing St. Mary's Church casts a warm glow, giving a feel of intimate coziness. The tall, slim buildings on either side seem to lean in and envelope you, such is their close proximity. The vintage street lanterns subtly add to the ever present atmosphere of old world gothic mystery. Mariacka is a street that etches a little spot in your heart that will stay with you forever. This image has added texture to complete the vintage feel.
