Description
The city of Verona in Northern Italy's Veneto region has a long association with romance. People flock from all around the world to visit Casa di Giulietta and see Juliet's balcony. Although Shakespeare's star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, are fictional, and the balcony itself is not authentic, it was added sometime later to the original 13th Century 'Capello' home, this doesn't stop hoardes of hopeless romantics coming to this tiny courtyard in the heart of the old town to see for themselves. Here, the lone figure of Juliet waits patiently for her soul mate. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white to compliment the old world feel of this classic Veronese scene.
