Description
Deep in the heart of the historic old town of Bordeaux, France, the medieval Rue des Bahutiers, seen here as it joins St. Peter's Square, was once home to the trunk makers of the city. This charming street does in fact, take its name from these specialist tradesmen who were skilled in the craft of creating wooden chests or trunks which were incredibly popular during the middle ages, and almost every home would have one. On the left is St.Peter's Church, built in the gothic architectural style, this charming building has a history going all the way back to the 12th Century. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this historic Bordeaux street scene.
