Description
A Quiet Little Corner of Madrid. It's difficult to imagine that this peaceful, quiet little area is right in the heart of a huge Spanish metropolis like Madrid, but it is! It's always worth taking a stroll along an almost empty lane or street, heading away from the busier thoroughfares of the city, just to see what lies beyond. Oftentimes you will be pleasantly surprised, finding great examples of beautiful architecture or a perfect spot to shield yourself from the heat of the midday sun. Picturesque and petite, the Plaza de La Villa is one of the oldest squares in the city and has a variety of architectural styles dating all the way back to the middle ages including Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance. This perfect little oasis has all the old world feel of a bygone era.
