Description
A picturesque canal scene in the historic heart of old Bruges. This elegant Belgian city is fairytale like, straight from the colorful pages of a childhood storybook, it comes complete with idyllic waterways and lakes, red brick buildings and arch stone bridges. At the far end of the Wijngaard Bridge, pictured here, the subtle entrance to the Begijnhof (Beguinage) invites visitors to step back in time (this nostalgic quarter was founded in the year 1245) and saunter through the enchanting grounds of this beautiful convent, currently occupied by Benedictine Nuns. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this classic Bruges scene.
