Description
Lucerne (or Luzern) is a picturesque location nestled between snow capped mountains at the North end of Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. The historic Old Town (or Altstadt) is a a vision of vibrant colour, each building unique, some in luxurious pastel tones and others decorated in elaborate murals depicting tales of old. A generous spattering of covered and ornate bridges, turrets and medieval ramparts all add to the fairy tale atmosphere of this ancient and enchanting city. As stormy clouds rolled in from the surrounding Alps, I saw the city transform before my eyes from bright and sunny to dark and dramatic, each scene equally captivating. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph, to compliment the old world feel of this classic Swiss lake town scene.
