Nestling comfortably between Lake Geneva and the magnificent snow capped Alps, Montreux is an idyllic location. Flower filled promenades lined with exquisitely chic Belle Epoque architecture and swaying palm trees give this town a real Mediterranean feel. The mild climate adds to the appeal. A walk a little farther along the lake will bring you solitude and few passers by, quiet little inlets concealed behind trees and complete with benches are ideal spots to sit calmly and admire your surroundings, with only the gentle lapping of the turquoise water to keep you company. This image has a little added texture.
