Description
A vintage, historical map showing the State of Kansas. This detailed, nostalgic map from the public domain was created for the Department of The Interior General Land Office, N.C. McFarland, Commissioner. The map was drawn by A.Pohlers, compiled from the official records of the General Land Office and other sources under supervision of G.P. Strum, Principal Draughtsman and printed and published by Julius Bien & Co. of New York in 1884. A legend at the top right references the location of land offices, townsips subdivided, county seats, cities, towns, railroad limits, railroads completed, military reservations, boundaries of counties and Indian Reservations. This reproduction image has been restored, color corrected and has a little added texture.
