Artist's Description
A vintage 'Wright's' map of Kansas City, Missouri. This beautifully detailed city and street map from the public domain was compiled and drawn by Carl Gothe de Grote, Civil and Mechanical Engineer and published by H.T.Wright in 1882. This reproduction map has been restored, but still shows some signs of wear and tear due to age. The image has been converted to cool shades of blue and has hand blended textures.

I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
