For me, probably the best word to describe Venice is enchanting. As I'm sure anyone who has been there will agree, this bewitching city of vibrant colours, criss-crossed with crooked canals magically balancing a myriad of majestic architecture and old world charm gets right under your skin. The constantly changing light transforms the waterways from the pale emerald green of day to the inky black of night. The palatial palazzos always stir your imagination and curiosity as you wonder of the history and mysteries held within the sometimes decaying walls. The ever present gondoliers offer throngs of tourists the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the 'dolce vita' whilst they navigate the Grand Canal, serenade you and show you all the glory of Venice from a slightly different perspective. This famously sinking city may not live forever but it will certainly live forever in your heart. Enchanting Venice has a little added texture.

I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
