Description
Mariacka, in the Polish city of Gdansk, has been called one of the most beautiful streets in the world. This small, narrow cobblestone lane is romantic at any time of the day, but after nightfall, when the quaint little shops close and the frequent visitors leave, it becomes quite magical. The pale orange light from the illuminated and imposing St. Mary's Church casts a warm glow, giving a feel of intimate coziness. The tall, slim buildings on either side seem to lean in towards you, such is their close proximity and the old fashioned street lanterns subtly add to the ever present atmosphere of old world gothic mystery. Mariacka is a street that etches a little spot in your heart that will stay with you forever.
