Description

One of the things I enjoy most about a stroll through Alfama, the oldest district of Lisbon, Portugal, is the wonderful variety of windows, doors and balconies you discover. I think my favourite are the little verandas. Often they are obscured by that days laundry hanging precariously from tiny washing lines suspended above, but sometimes you get to see the character and uniqueness, the style and individuality of them. Each one with a different story to tell of the people living behind them. This image has added texture to complete the vintage feel.
