Description
The view from the rooftop of Milan's most famous landmark, The Duomo, stretches for miles in every direction. You could easily spend a few hours up there, picking out notable buildings and architectural wonders. I waited for the sun to dip down behind the horizon, those terracotta roofs glowing ever more red by the minute as dusk descended and us reluctant to leave visitors were reminded that it was almost closing time. I wondered briefly what it might be like to stay up there after nightfall, what the city would look like after dark from such a great perspective, the ghostly whisper of voices so far below. I blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment this vintage scene.
