One of many hidden gems of Vieux Lyon, France, this charming courtyard has a solitary bench, the ideal place to sit and admire the fine details of the ornate, wooden door and ancient stone well. This is an excellent example of a vintage European door and doorway. I hand blended painterly style textures with my original photograph to compliment the historic feel of this old world French city scene.

I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot.
