Description
The ancient Northern Italian city of Verona is always romantic, but never more so than at the end of a warm summers day as the sun goes down and a beautifully soft orange glow is cast over the multitude of red rooftops creating a vista worthy of an old Italian Master. Time appears to stand still as people everywhere stop for a moment to enjoy the spectacular scene develop before them. I photographed this view of the 12th Century, Romanesque style Verona Cathedral from the other side of the Adige River, high on St Peter's Hill, it was well worth the climb for a sprawling panoramic spectable of the city below. I added texture to complete the vintage feel.
