Mariacka Street in the heart of the historical centre of Gdansk has been called one of the most beautiful streets in the world. As I approached this magical little hidden gem, I immediately knew why. Tall slim multi windowed buildings in every colour of the rainbow seem to lean in and envelope you giving a feeling of intimacy, coziness and hush despite the fact that you are just a stones throw from the main thoroughfares. Quaint little boutique stores flank either side of a cobblestone lane. Charming, picturesque, enchanting and captivating are just some of the words that spring to mind when thinking of a way to describe this magical spot in the city. I blended textures with my original photograph of this uniquely ornate Polish doorway to compliment this old world scene.
