Description
Spanning the river Danube in the heart of Bratislava, Most SNP ("Bridge of the Slovak National Uprising") is more commonly known as the 'UFO Bridge' due to its unusual, flying saucer shaped tower and observation deck. Built in steel and opened in the early seventies, this bridge in two levels, one for motor traffic and the lower for bicycles and pedestrians, is the longest of it's kind in the world, having one cable stayed plane and one pylon. There is a restaurant situated at the top of the tower giving great views across the river Danube and old city. I blended textures and grain with my original photograph to give this image a more vintage feel.
