Artist's Description
A vintage, historical map of the State of Tennessee. This beautifully detailed map from the public domain was 'constructed from the surveys of the late John Strothers and other documents by John Melish and published by John Melish and Samuel Harrison in 1818. This reproduction map has been color corrected and restored but still shows some signs of wear and tear due to age.

For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot.
