Description
The bohemian quarter of Vieux Lyon is a warren of narrow cobblestone streets, vibrant coloured facades and unique little shops and eateries. Pictured here, the charming Rue Tramassac has a history dating all the way back to the 2nd Century, when it was first inhabited. The modern funicular straddling overhead and climbing the steep hill slowly to the Fourviere district, strikes an odd balance of old and new. I blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white to compliment the old world feel of this classic French street scene.
