Description
In the heart of the Austrian city of Salzburg, nestled between Kapuzinerberg Hill and the Salzach River lies Steingasse. An ancient cobblestone street with roots dating back to the 13th Century, this lane is filled with genuine medieval charm. This little street played an important role in the history of Salzburg with a lot of the salt produced in the saltmines being transported through here. Steingasse Salzburg was also the birthplace of Joseph Mohr, the man who wrote the lyrics of the well known Christmas Carol, "Silent Night". I added a little texture to Steingasse Street Salzburg to compliment the vintage feel of the image.

I love your captures of streets in Europe. They always invite to crane my neck to see around the curve of the cobblestone streets...You always capture my attention!
