Description
In the heart of the Austrian city of Salzburg, nestled between Kapuzinerberg Hill and the Salzach River lies Steingasse. An ancient cobblestone street with roots dating back to the 13th Century, this lane is filled with genuine medieval charm. This little street played an important role in the history of Salzburg with a lot of the salt produced in the salt mines being transported through here. Steingasse Salzburg was also the birthplace of Joseph Mohr, the man who wrote the lyrics of the well known Christmas Carol, "Silent Night". I hand blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this classic Salzburg scene.
