Description
A vintage Economic and Geologic map of the State of New York 'showing the location of its mineral deposits'. This detailed map from the public domain was created by Frederick J.H.Merrill, Director of New York State Museum and prepared to accompany the report on the Mineral Exhibit of New York at the 'World's Columbian Exposition' in 1895. An inset at the bottom left features Long Island and a legend indicates the position of mineral deposits. This reproduction map has been restored and converted to nostalgic sepia tone but still shows a little wear and tear due to age.
