Description
The charming North Belgian city of Ghent (or Gent) is filled with remarkably well preserved medieval architecture. A stroll along the old Graslei Harbour will make you feel like you have wandered into an old master painting, especially in the fading sunlight of a late afternoon in winter. Walk across the St Michael's Bridge and continue past Market Squre for a fabulous rear view of the gothic St Nicholas Church, pictured here, which, with a history dating back to the early 13th Century, is one of Ghent's most visited sites and instantly recognisable landmarks. I blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the vintage feel of this old world scene.
