Description
Built in Poland and launched in 1948, the SS Soldek, a coal and ore freighter, remained active until December 1980. Since then she has been preserved as a Museum Ship in Gdansk as part of the National Maritime Museum collection and is seen here moored in front of the granaries on the Motlawa River. In the distance sits the giant ferris wheel, the perfect place to enjoy a birds eye view over the city of Gdansk. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white to compliment the old world feel of this classic Polish dock scene.
