Description
Nyhavn is a 17th Century canal and waterfront area located in the Danish capital city of Copenhagen. This very atmospheric harbour is a hive of activity by day and night; the rainbow coloured townhouses on the waters edge; the selection of bars; restaurants and shops providing something for every visitor to the city whether it be a meal; a drink or a photographic opportunity. Tiny wooden boats bob shyly amongst the much larger fishing vessels and tourist transport. Picturesque and historic; the fairytale Nyhavn was once home to Hans Christian Andersen and a plaque marks the spot at No.67. I blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the vintage feel of this historic Danish scene.
