Description
The vibrant Ribeira neighborhood of Porto sits along the banks of the Douro river. It is teeming with life and vivid colour. In this waterfront area of the city, medieval streets and alleys are filled with all types of ancient buildings, crumbling and decaying houses sit side by side with newly painted pastel homes in all the hues of the rainbow. Each of them topped with a red tiled roof, so typical of Porto. It's a hugely atmospheric place and I think this is reflected in the architecture, spirited and lively, varied and mixed, there is something for everyone in this beautiful Portuguese city. I blended textures with my original photograph to compliment the vintage feel of this historic area.
