In the old city of Lisbon, the colourful facades in retro pastel shades of terracotta, coral, mint green and yellow complete with their wrought iron balconies are a perfect backdrop for any photographer. Streetlamps cast long shadows over the cobblestone streets as the sun dips behind buildings that have occupied the same spot for a very long time. The Bairro Alto area, sits high on the hill overlooking the main arteries of the city. In the distance, you can see The 25th April Bridge. Spanning the Tagus River at a length of 1.5 miles (or 2.3km),it is the longest suspension bridge in Europe. I blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the nostalgic old world feel of this image.
