Description
A textured, black and white image of the late 15th Century Porte Cailhau (city gate), once a part of the ancient city walls of Bordeaux, France and serving previously as both an arch of victory and a defensive gate. This striking piece of medieval architecture is one of the few remnants of historic Bordeaux built prior to the 18th century and from the top, gives a wonderful view over Ponte de Pierre, the oldest and most elegant bridge in the city.

I love visiting your gallery, because of your many galleries from France!! Your photography is so wonderful and it is so inviting!! It makes me want to pack and fly there. That is where most of my ancestors are from.
