Description
The bronze replica figure of Catherine of Braganza looks out over the mighty Tagus River and watches over the Parque do Tejo waterfront area of Lisbon, Portugal. The backdrop is the Vasco da Gama bridge. Named after the famous Portuguese explorer, this cable-stayed bridge, at a massive 17km end to end, is the longest bridge entirely within Europe. It is so long that the curvature of the earth had to be taken into account during design and contruction of the bridge. I hand blended textures with my original photograph in black and white.
