Description
The Alpine town of Annecy, in the Haute-Savoie region of South Eastern France, has a history going as far back as Roman times. In a picturesque location, settled between mountains and lake, this beautiful area just oozes old world charm. A leisurely walk along the canal is the perfect way to spend an afternoon, stopping to take in the pastel coloured facades, complete with red tile roofs, towering French Alps as a backdrop. Pictured here is Palais de L'Ile, a landmark monument with a history dating back to the 12th century. Once used as a courthouse, prison and adminitstrative office, it is now a museum. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white, to compliment the vintage feel of this idyllic old world French canal scene.
