Description
At a total height of 237 metres, Warsaw's mid 20th Century Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in Poland. This controversial and difficult to miss landmark was commissioned by Joseph Stalin as 'a gift from the Soviet people' and takes its architectural influences from The Empire State Building in New York, and various types of architecture from all over Poland. With over 3,000 rooms and a terrace open to the public with unrivaled panoramic views over the city of Warsaw and beyond, this hulking giant is well worth a visit. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph.
