Description

To the West of the Saone River, the old city of Lyon rises in layers through Vieux Lyon and then towards the Fourviere district, up a steep hill to finally reach the distinctive
Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourviere. From its idyllic hilltop location, the terraces surrounding this magnificent example of both Byzantine and Romanesque architectural styles, give unrivalled views over the entire city. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the vintage feel of this old world French riverside scene.
