Description
Since opening in 1998, Vasco da Gama Bridge in the Parque das Nacoes area of Lisbon has taken passengers across the Tagus River. Named after the famous Portuguese explorer, this cable-stayed bridge, at a massive 17km end to end, is the longest bridge entirely within Europe. It is so long that the curvature of the earth had to be taken into account during design and contruction of the bridge. I hand blended a little texture with my original black and white photograph of this classic architectural scene.
