Description
Situated on the banks of the Tagus River, the Monument to the Discoveries in the historic Belem area of Lisbon, Portugal is a celebration of the 16th and 17th century Portuguese Age of Discovery. Henry The Navigator is seen at the front, looking out to sea and behind him, many other famous explorers of the time including Vasco Da Gama. On the right of the image the huge 25th April Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Europe. I blended a little texture with my original portrait style photograph in black and white to compliment the vintage feel of this historic Lisbon scene.
