Description
The Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert in the Belgian Capital Brussels is the perfect spot for a coffee break after browsing through the charming selection of boutique style shops. Construction began on this wonderfully atmospheric shopping arcade in 1846 and was completed 18 months later. It consists of a 'King's Gallery' and a 'Queen's Gallery', both equally delightful. The style is Italianate Cinquecento under an arched glass pane roof with a delicate cast iron framework. As the light changes throughout the day, the entire area takes on a lovely vintage glow and the long shadows cast by passers by all make it a very picturesque location.
