Artist's Description
Constructed in the late 19th Century, in mainly Locharbriggs red sandstone, this stunning landmark museum was built in the Spanish Baroque architectural style and is located on Argyle Street in Glasgow city center. More than 8,000 objects are on display within this magnificent building. Located throughout 22 galleries, the exibhits include precious works of art such as Salvador Dali's 'Christ of Saint John on The Cross', Van Gogh's portrait of Alexander Reid and Rembrandt's 'A Man In Armour'. There are also marvelous displays of ancient national history treasures, contemporary pieces and a collection of work by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and The Glasgow Style. No trip to this friendly Scottish city is complete without a visit to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white, to compliment the old world feel of this classic Glaswegian scene.
About Carol Japp

I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...

Love both editions of this work but have to admit something about this B&W version stands out for me. Would be great to visit one day and see the paintings mentioned in your description,.
