Description
Unveiled in 1884, this imposing and somewhat controversial bronze statue by Daniel Chester French, of John Harvard, one of the founders of Harvard University, stands proudly outside Memorial Hall in Harvard Yard, Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is common for tourist to rub the left foot in the belief that it will bring them luck! I blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white to compliment this historic scene.
