Description
Classical music is everywhere in the Austrian capital, Vienna. Tributes to lengendary composers can be found all around the city but the one that really stood out for me was situated in Stadtpark and commemorates the man who penned the 'Blue Danube', probably the most famous waltz of all time, Johann Strauss Junior. Strauss is seen in gilded bronze with his violin held high, in a prominent position since 1921, in a park where he played many times at the Kursalon concert venue. It is a fitting honour to this local born musical genius and fans from all around the globe make the trip to see him. This black and white image has a little added texture.
