Bruges (or Brugge), a medieval jewel in the crown of northwest Belgium is filled with delightful wonders of a bygone era. Quiet corners to sit and enjoy your surroundings, peaceful canals to ride along in the quaint little tour boats, seeing the city from a slightly different perspective and pretty cobbled streets crammed with character. Whatever your pleasure, you will find it in Brugge. Pictured here is the Minnewater Park and Lake, a most romantic place if ever I saw one. Complete with ancient stone bridge and passing ducks, I could have spent all day here admiring the view. I blended layers of painterly textures with my original photograph to compliment the vintage feel of this charming old world scene.
