Description
The Old Town of Bratislava has a wide variety of sculptures, quirky statues and examples of public art. One of the most well known and loved is this dapper silver figure of a man tipping his hat to passers by and visitors to the Old Town Square. Legend has it that this Schone Naci designed statue is modelled on a gentleman named Ignac Lamar. A bit of a ladies man, Ignac was often seen around town at the beginning of the 20th century, passing out flowers, bowing and waving his hat to those who caught his eye. Poor, but always elegantly dressed in a frock coat and top hat, he must have made a lasting impression to be remembered all these years later. This black and white image has added texture and grain to complete the vintage feel.
