Hygieia fountain situated in the courtyard of Hamburg Town Hall, Germany. The Hamburg Rathaus (Town Hall) is probably the most instantly recognisable landmark in the city. Built in the late 19th Century, in the neo renaissance architectural style, this impressive building dominates the Old Town and is Hamburg's seat of government. In the centre lies the beautifully ornate courtyard, complete with a majestic fountain and vintage street lamps. I hand blended painterly style textures with my original photograph in black and white, to compliment the old world feel of this classic architectural city scene.
