Description
A textured, painterly style image of the historic Elfreth's Alley area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in the early 18th Century, this charming street is named after Jeremiah Elfreth, a prominent property owner and blacksmith of the time. These Federal and Georgian style houses were occupied by tradesmen and their families, but over time, industry brought change to the area and now only this picturesque little residential alley remains as a reminder of Philadelphia life in the 1700's.
