Description
One of the most fascinating things about Lisbon is the antique trams trundling up and down the steep hills and narrow winding streets, often packed to capacity and ringing their bells to warn pedestrians of their approach. No trip to the Portuguese capital is complete without a journey on a Lisbon streetcar. Pictured here, at the top of the hill, is one of the trams of the Elevador da Gloria (or Gloria Funicular) route, operational since 1885 and still going strong! I blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment the old world feel of this typical Lisbon street scene.
