A vintage map of 'Winter Under a Southern Sky, Resorts on and reached via the East Tennessee, Georgia Air Line. The map shows The Shenandoah Valley Rail Road, Norfolk & Western Rail Road, East Tennessee, Virginia & Georgia Railway System. This wonderfully nostalgic map from the public domain was created and published in 1890 by Matthews, Northrup & Co. of Buffalo and New York. This reproduction map has been converted to sepia tone and has hand blended textures. The map has been restored but still shows a little wear and tear due to age.

For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
